Terms and Conditions
Booking, Retainers & Payments
1. The date of the event is considered “booked” upon receipt of a non-refundable retainer fee equaling 50% of the total value of the cake, delivery charges, equipment deposit, and contract.
No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
*The final payment is due 2 weeks before the event.
*If the cake is booked 2 weeks or less before the reception, the deposit will equal 100% of the total cost
*If the Client fails to make payments Laralux Cakes will cease work, the order will be canceled and no refund will be given.
Liability
1. Laralux Cakes is not responsible for any cake damage after pickup.
All cake pickup has to be transported on a flat surface in a well AIRCONDITIONED vehicle.
2. Laralux Cakes will not deliver a cake or allow pickup if payments have not been paid in full.
Fulfillment of Contract
1. Laralux Cakes is not responsible for any delay or inability to deliver based on accidents, natural disasters, transportation issues from clients’ end, inclement weather, illness, death, or any other
a circumstance beyond Laralux Cakes’ control.
2. If Laraluxcakes has completed the cake but it can’t be delivered due to uncontrollable circumstances, the Client will be refunded 50% of the total cost.
3. Laralux Cakes is not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes and heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. Pease note that direct sunlight and temperatures of 75 degrees and higher may have drastic and adverse effects on any cake.
Postponement/Cancellation
1. The Client must notify Laralux Cakes if there is a change in the date of the event or a complete cancellation.
2. If the postponement occurs before 4 weeks of the event, no penalty fee will be charged.
3. If the postponement occurs after 2 weeks before the event, the Client will be charged a 25% fee of the total cost.
4. If a cancellation occurs 4 weeks before the date of the event, all money will be refunded minus the
retainer fee.
5. If a cancellation occurs after 2weeks before the event, 25% will be refunded less the nonrefundable
retainer fee case of a cancellation, Up to 50% of the total bill can only be refunded depending on the situation.
Changes to Order
1. Any changes must be submitted 2 weeks in advance
2. There will be no changes allowed after 2 weeks before the event
Design of the Cake
1. Laralux Cakes will follow the Client’s requests closely to create the exact cake desired.
2. Laralux Cakes cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work but will ensure the look is similar
Serving Amount & Sizes
1. Serving size estimations are not guaranteed to be exact.
2. Laralux Cakes is not responsible for a shortage of cake if the pieces are cut too large or if the cutting guide is not followed.
Allergy & Dietary Warnings
1. Laraluxcakes baked goods may have come in contact with the following ingredients:
• Nut
• Chocolate
• Dye/ colors
• Milk
• Egg
• Gluten
2. Natural dyes, artificial dyes, artificial flavorings, sugar,
artificial sweeteners, artificial color, and other allergens not
listed.
3. The Client is responsible for pointing out to guests potential allergy hazards.
Nonedible item
Most cakes contain small proportions of inedible items including but not limited to, wires and toothpicks in sugar flowers, support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbons, and cardboard
toppers. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure all non-edible cake décor is removed from the cake before it is cut and served
Photograph
We reserve the right to use all photographs of the cake for advertising and promotional
purposes on our website, portfolio, social media, brochure, etc. You agree to us taking and using such images as described and release any claims regarding use.
Confidentiality
All information provided by the client shall be treated with the requisite confidentiality and will only be available to us, our staff, and any other relevant party you agree to e.g. photographer or florist. Your details will not be made available to any other
a party without your express agreement.
